What this day is

Most small business owners have had a go with AI. Some use it regularly. But there is a difference between using it and using it well — and that gap is where a lot of time, consistency, and confidence gets lost.

This is a hands-on training day built specifically for people running a business on their own or with a very small team. You will leave with a Claude setup that sounds like you, a clear understanding of your customers baked into how you work with AI, and practical workflows you can use immediately. You will also leave connected — with Claude linked to the tools you already use, so it is genuinely part of your working day, not a separate tab you remember to open occasionally.

No technical background needed. No jargon. Just a structured, practical day in a small group where you do the work.

What you will learn

Make AI sound like you Most people's AI output sounds generic. You will learn how to train Claude to understand your tone, your brand, and the way you communicate, so what it produces actually sounds like it came from you.

Teach AI about your customers Claude can hold context about your ideal clients, your offers, and your market. You will build that in so your content, follow-ups, and proposals are always relevant and on the money.

Take real work off your plate From drafting emails to summarising documents, planning your week to managing client communications, you will work through practical workflows that save you time you do not have spare.

Leave connected and set up You will connect Claude to the tools you actually use — whether that is Xero, QuickBooks, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, HubSpot, Canva, or others. By the end of the day, AI is not a standalone tool. It is part of how your whole business works.

Who this is for

This day is for small business owners, sole traders, and founders running a business of one or two people who:

  • Are already using AI in some form but feel like they are not getting nearly enough from it

  • Wonder whether they are doing it right, or just making do

  • Want to stop reinventing the wheel every time they sit down with it

  • Are ready to learn in a room with other people doing the same thing

If you have been using AI but still feel like it is not quite working the way it should, this is the day that sorts that out.

Why Claude

Claude is built for the kind of work small business owners actually do: writing, communicating, thinking through problems, and managing a lot of moving parts with very little support. It connects to a wide range of the tools small businesses already use — accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, HubSpot, Canva, and more — so it can sit at the centre of how your business runs, rather than alongside it.

The training day is built around Claude because it is the right fit for this audience. That said, the way you learn to think about and work with AI applies across tools. If you currently use ChatGPT, you will find the approach transfers easily.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, you will need a paid Claude account to get the full benefit of the day, particularly the session on connecting Claude to your other tools. Claude's paid plan costs around £15 per month and can be cancelled any time. Setup guidance will be included in your booking confirmation so you arrive ready to go.

  • Yes. The day is built around Claude because it connects well to tools like Xero, QuickBooks, Google Workspace, and HubSpot, which makes the integration session much more practical. But the way you learn to work with AI — how to give it context, how to get consistent outputs, how to build it into your workflows — applies directly to ChatGPT too. Most attendees find they leave with a better understanding of both.

  • This day is aimed at people who have already had a go with AI rather than complete beginners. If you have opened Claude or ChatGPT and used it a handful of times, you are ready. If you have never tried AI at all, it may be worth getting started first so you arrive with some context to build on.

  • Places are intentionally limited to keep the session practical and the room collaborative. This is a small group experience, not a large event. Exact numbers will be confirmed with each cohort.

  • If you are running a service-based or product-based small business as a solo founder or very small team, yes. The exercises are built to be adaptable to different business types and you will be applying what you learn to your own work throughout the day.

  • The afternoon session covers connecting Claude to the tools you already use. This includes accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks, Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar), Microsoft 365, HubSpot, Canva, and others. You do not need to use all of these. The session will help you identify which connections make the most sense for how you work.
